MARINA VISTA ELEMENTARY DRESS CODE

Marina Vista Elementary School is a school-wide uniform school. Uniforms were adopted in compliance with all Board of Education policies and administrative regulations.

The required elements are: white shirts and blouses with collars and buttons or turtleneck; black pants only, black jumper, black skirt or black sweater (cardigan, pullover or vest styles); Closed style shoes dark or neutral colors only.

Additional recommended elements are: black outer jacket; white or black socks or tights for girls; black or white socks for boys.

At Marina Vista Elementary we have created a program for Uniform Donation and Exchange.    We welcome donations of used clean uniforms in good condition. Please send any polo shirts, pants, jumpers, etc. that are no longer needed at your house to the school office.

Dear Parents and Guardians, please be aware that Board policy does require that students’ clothing be suitable for school activities, and must not present a health, safety hazard, or a distraction, which would interfere with the educational process. (BP 5132)

Throughout the year, special days are scheduled when uniforms are not required. These days will be announced as a “Free Dress Day.”

If you are out shopping, please do not forget to purchase the uniforms.
