Online Leadership Opportunity

EducationWorld is ready to launch a new Community (professional learning network for educators) site in August. This is a place where teachers and administrators can go to join groups of like-minded educators; share and rate lesson plans, worksheets, and templates; create blogs; and much more.

Educators also can join Community "groups" to join in discussions of interest. With that in mind, we're looking for a few good "Group Leaders." Some of the groups needing leaders include:

  • Preschool/Early Childhood
  • Primary Grades
  • Elementary Grades
  • High School
  • Special Ed
  • Gifted and Talented (GATE)
  • ELL (English Language Learners)
  • Arts
  • Science
  • Common Core State Standards

Group Leaders will invite their colleagues to join the Community and participate in the Group and then post questions, comments, and/or resources that will engage Group members. During the three-month launch period (August-October 2011), we will ask Group Leaders to check in on their groups a few times a week, starting new conversations and responding to others' comments.

Interested? Please click here to submit your application for consideration as a group leader. You'll be able to express interest in one of the groups above, or suggest an additional group.
